Turkish Air Authority or briefly THK is a association founded in Turkey with the order of Mustafa Kemal Pasha in 16 February 1925 to establish aerospace industry in Turkey; to ensure the development of military, civil, sporty and tourist aviation. When Atatürk was founded with the sign, Cevat Abbas Gürer was the founder and president and moved the name of the association "Turk Tayyare Society" in 1935.
THK is authorized by the "Airport Federation" of Turkey. From August 5, 1925, it is the "commune to benefit" status. Central Ankara President and Ministers Board is the spiritual protectors of THK. President, Force Commanders are among the natural members of the Ankara Governor.
The institution comes from sources such as membership fees, victim skin, fitness, intelligence collection activities; pulse sale, activity of corporate enterprises.
The Turkish Air Authority publishes the Turkish Journal of the Flying Turkish, which is uninterrupted since 1954 for free in two months.
History
The pilot Emrullah Ali Star from Turkish teachers broke the world record with a planer flight of 14 hours on 12 June 1938. The student Ziya Aydoğan flew a distance of 466 km from the THK İnönü Training Center to Kayseri.
The planers needed for THK’s planner trainings were provided from Akköprü workshop in Ankara. Hundreds of planers production, engine and planner repairs were made in this workshop until 1940. In the late 1940, Akköprü, a workshop that worked with a limited staff was factory, and here the serial assembly of British Miles Magister training aircraft began.
Between 1939-1941 II. Etimesgut Aircraft Factory was founded with the request of General Staff Presidency prior to World War. In the Etimesgut Aircraft Factory in 1944, with Magister aircraft as well as THK-1, 3, 4, 7, 9, 13 planers, THK-2 was produced in 5 and 10 types of training, health and transportation aircraft.
The first motor factory in Turkey was founded in Gazi Forest Farm by THK. The work of this factory lasted until 1951, and the same year was transferred to the Mechanical and Chemical Industry Authority. This factory was completely closed in 1952, it is operated as Turkish Tractor Factory, and contributes to country economy with tractor production.
THK’s grown airy teenagers attended the Air Download Harekatna parachute, which took place during the reign of 1974 Cyprus. The aircraft and pilots of the institution were given important tasks during the proceeding.
In particular, after the 1980s, THK noted great improvements in international relations after 1990 in sporty aviation. FAI was followed by an effective policy at the General Assembly and Commission meetings, and the THK and Turkey was taken into the forefront. In addition to the existing planer, parachute, flight school and model aircraft school, the Multi-Light Air Tools School was founded in 1996.
