The Turkish lira icon (₺, image:) is the symbol used in the Turkish Republic of Turkey and Northern Cyprus, which is considered as of 1 March 2012.
The standard use of the currency with international three letters is ISO 4217) TRY.
In May 2012, the Unicode Technical Commission accepted the U+20BA TURKISH LIRA SIGN coding for the new icon and published Unicode Standard version 6.2, which includes the new icon in September 2012. HTML tenacity code equivalent ₺ shaped. With the combination of + combination on Windows operating system with icon Turkish keyboard layout, it can be done with + combination on computers with Mac operating system.

The TL Icon Competition was held on September 8, 2011 in order to raise the rivet of the Turkish lira by the Republic Central Bank of Turkey and to increase its recognition in the world, as a result of the competition, the new icon was announced by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on March 1, 2012.
