Turkish men’s handball national team

The Turkish men's handball national team represents Turkey's handball federation, Türkiye Hentbol Federasyonu, as a selection team at international level in international matches in handball against teams of other national associations.
History
The Turkish Handball Federation has been a member of the International Handball Federation (IHF) since 1978 and the European Handball Federation (EHF) since 1991. For a big tournament, the selection could not qualify so far.
The coach is Okan Halay.
IHF Emerging Nations Championship
Turkey participated in the IHF Emerging Nations Championship hosted by the World Federation in 2017. In the preliminary round, the team defeated Kosovo with 25:24, Albania with 54:12 and Ireland with 41:26. In the quarterfinals, the team won against Georgia with 32:26, in the semi-finals against Cyprus with 35:32 after extra time. In the final, the selection fell to the Faroes with 25:26.
Mediterranean Games
In the Mediterranean Games in various countries of the Mediterranean, handball has been an integral part since 1967, with the exception of 1971. There, the selection achieved the following placements:
