Tuscany ( ) is one of the twenty regions of Italy ; It is located in the western centre of the country and its capital is Florence. In 2020, it counts, the Tuscans, spread over an area of .

It is bordered to the northeast by the Apennines, to the northwest by the Apuan Alps and is watered from east to west by the Arno.
