Format and Qualification

The format of the tournament remained unchanged compared to the previous season. A total of 32 clubs participated in the group stage: 22 teams that received automatic qualification, and 10 winners of the fourth qualifying round (five from the championship and five from the non-champion qualification).

Group Stage Structure

The participating clubs were divided into eight groups of four teams each. The teams that took the first two places in each group advanced to the playoffs, while the third-placed teams moved on to the Europa League for the 1/16 finals.

This season's group stage became the most productive in the history of the tournament, with a total of 306 goals scored in 96 matches.
