This article contains information about the 2014/15 UEFA Europa League group stage.
48 clubs participate in the group stage: 31 teams that have passed qualification, 7 teams that have received automatic qualification, and 10 losers of the fourth qualifying round of the Champions League (five from the championship and five from non-champion qualification). The clubs are divided into 12 groups of 4 teams each. The teams that took the first two places in the group are in the playoffs.
Geography of the tournament
The UEFA Europa League 2014/15 group stage features the national leagues of the following 26 countries:
Italy - 4 teams,
Belgium, Greece, Ukraine, France – 3 each
England, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Romania, Turkey, Croatia, Switzerland - 2 each,
Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Cyprus, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Finland, Czech Republic, Scotland - 1 each.
The draw
The teams were seeded into four baskets based on their position in the UEFA coefficients ranking at the end of the 2013/2014 season. The title holder, Sevilla, is automatically seeded into the first basket. The draw took place on 29 August 2014 at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.

According to the results of the draw, the teams were divided into 12 groups of 4 teams. In the playoffs there are two teams from each group, as well as 8 teams that took third place in the group round of the Champions League.
