UEFA Futsal Championship 2005

The fourth UEFA Futsal Championship, played in 2005 in the Czech Republic, was the fifth edition of the national football team tournament organized by UEFA, an organisation that manages this sport in Europe.
The venue for the event was Ostrava. The eight teams were divided into two groups from which the four semifinalists came out. In group A, two compañeros from the East, Ukraine and Russia were fighting, with the first who won it after the victory in the decisive third race of the group; in group B, the defending champions of Italy won full score the group putting in line the Spain world champion, Portugal and Hungary. The semifinals subverted the values seen during the qualifying rounds: Spain and Russia, second ranked in their grouping, eliminated the winners of the two rounds and landed in the final, where the Iberians triumphed, putting their third European laurel in the box.
Qualifications
Thirty-two trainings (four in more than the previous edition) for seven available places will be held in qualifying for the Czech Republic, while the Italian trophy holder is called to play the qualification in group 7 where he qualifies for the damages of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Poland. Seven formations participate in two prequalification groups, won by Romania and Cyprus. Subsequently, the formations are divided into seven groups by four teams, qualifying Netherlands, Ukraine, Portugal, Spain, Russia, Hungary, Italy.
