### Voting Procedure

UN Security Council Resolutions are decisions voted by the UN Security Council. A resolution is accepted if at least nine of the fifteen members vote in favor of it and none of the permanent members (China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States) vote against it, which is commonly referred to as a veto.

### Regional Focus

Most resolutions were adopted on problems in Africa (46 resolutions), with a focus on sub-Saharan Africa.
