The Norfolk, the USS Norcastle, is a multi-target nuclear submarine, is 27th in a series of 62 sub-submarine boats like "Los Angeles" built for the United States. He became the third ship in the United States called after the town of Norfolk, Virginia. Assigned to combat submarine ships and opponent's submarine ships, as well as for surveillance operations, special operations, transport special operations, capture, power, rescue operations.

Building
The contract on construction of the submarines was held by the 20 February 1976 by News Shapbuilding, the dry dock located in Newport Newtown, Virginia. The oil ceremony was on August 1, 1979. Service History
