The Union Sportive des Polices d’Europe (USPE) is the European Police Sports Federation founded in 1950.

Organisation
The European Police Sports Federation was established as the “Union Sportive des Polices d’Europe” (USPE) on the initiative of the French Police Sports Federation on 30 November. Founded in November 1950 in Paris.
Every two years a Congress of the USPE takes place and each member country sends two delegates. The next congress will take place in Berlin/Germany in 2016.

The aim of the USPE is to promote sport within all police forces in Europe and to coordinate the preparation, implementation and control of international competitions.
The USPE also organises European Police Championships in 16 sports disciplines every four years:

On the occasion of the 4th Congress of the USPE on the 5th In September 1954 in Stockholm, the German Police Sports Board (DPSK) joined the European Police Sports Association.

The USPE currently consists of 40 European nations: (as of August 2014)
Albania, Armenia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Moldova, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Switzerland, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Czech Republic, Turkey, Ukraine, Hungary, United Kingdom and Cyprus

At national level, this is done by the corresponding associations – such as the German Police Sports Board (DPSK) or the Austrian Police Sports Association (ÖPOLSV).

The headquarters of the USPE General Secretariat have been in Germany since 1995 and are now in Berlin.

The European Police Performance Badge (also referred to as EPLA) is awarded by the USPE for special sporting achievements, which must be performed in the four categories endurance, strength, speed and coordination.
