The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) is one of the six continental confederations of FIFA and the governing body of football in Europe. It represents the football associations of Europe and organizes various competitions, including the European Championship (Euro), the League of Nations, the Champions League, the Europa League, and the UEFA Super Cup.

UEFA was founded on June 15, 1954, in Basel, Switzerland. The organization has its headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

Membership

UEFA has 55 member associations from Europe, including countries such as Russia, Turkey, Cyprus, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, and Kazakhstan, which are geographically located in Asia but have UEFA membership.
