Background
United Nations Security Council Resolution 354 was adopted unanimously on July 23, 1974.
Content
The resolution reaffirmed the provisions of Resolution 353 and called for all parties to immediately comply with Resolution 353 and cease fire. It also requested that all states refrain from any action that might further aggravate the situation in Cyprus.
Implementation
Resolution 354 was a brief resolution aimed at resolving the conflict in Cyprus. The resolution demanded that all parties involved in the fighting comply immediately with Resolution 353 and begin a ceasefire.
