Background
Resolution 370 of the United Nations Security Council was adopted on June 13, 1975, in response to the Turkish invasion of Cyprus.
Extension of Mandate
The resolution extended the mandate of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus for an additional six months until December 15, 1975. This extension aimed to maintain stability and facilitate a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
Resolution Details
The resolution was adopted with 14 votes in favor, while the People's Republic of China did not participate in the vote. The Council urged the Secretary-General to continue his mission of good offices entrusted to him by Resolution 367 and submit:
* A temporary report by September 15
* A final report not later than December 15
