### Background and Context

The resolution referred to a report by the Secretary-General stating that due to current circumstances, the presence of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) would remain necessary for achieving sustainable peace. The Council expressed its desire for all parties to support the Ten-Point Agreement for resuming negotiations between the two sides and requested the Secretary-General to submit another report before May 31, 1981 to follow up on the implementation of the resolution.

### Reaffirmation of Previous Resolutions

The Council reaffirmed its previous resolutions, including Resolution 365 (1974), which expressed concern about the situation, urged the parties involved to work together for peace, and extended the mandate of the force in Cyprus, as specified in Resolution 186 (1964), until June 15, 1981.

### Voting

The resolution was adopted by a vote of 14 in favor. The People's Republic of China did not participate in the voting.
