The Council discussed measures to build confidence related to Faro Airport (also referred to as Varosha) and Nicosia International Airport, emphasizing that these measures are not an end in themselves but would provide significant benefits to both parties on the island and facilitate the political process towards a comprehensive settlement.
Secretary-General's Efforts
