Larisa Georgievna Ushakova (March 4, 1960, Grozny, Chechen-Ingush ASSR, RSFSR, USSR - October 29, 2020, Rostov-on-Don) - Russian painter, academician of the RAH (Southern regional branch, 2020), member of the Union of Artists of Russia (1998), academician of the International Academy of Further Education (2005), candidate of pedagogical sciences, professor. Scientific Secretary of the Southern Regional Branch of the Russian Academy of Arts (2008). Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation (2010).

Biography
Larisa Georgievna Ushakova was born on March 4, 1960 in the city of Grozny of the Chechen Republic.

In 1982 she graduated from the Art and Graphic Faculty of the Rostov State Pedagogical Institute.

In 1991, she graduated from postgraduate studies at the Department of Drawing of the Moscow Pedagogical State University (scientific supervisor - Professor A. E. Terentyev).

Since 1982 she taught at the Faculty of Art and Graphics of the Rostov State Pedagogical Institute. In 1996-2002, she was Deputy Dean of the Department of Distance Learning.

Since 2000 she worked as the head of the Department of Fine Arts of the Southern Federal University. Since 2012 - Head of the Department of Painting, Graphics and Sculpture of SFU.

Ushakova Larisa Georgievna is a master of fine arts, historian and theorist of art education, she was a connoisseur and successor of the Russian art school. In the unified international rating of artists - famous masters of the XVIII-XX centuries, the name of Larisa Georgievna Ushakova is included. Her works were acquired by museums and private collections in Germany, Greece and other European countries.

In 2002, on the sketches of Larisa Ushakova, an exposition of the Museum of History and National Liberation Struggle (Cyprus) was decorated.

Since 2005 she has participated in the Mobile Exhibitions of the Russian Academy of Arts. At the “Fifth International Biennale of Contemporary Realist Art” in 2006, Larisa Ushakova represented the pictorial art of the Don region.

In 2007, she participated in the final “Exhibition of Diplomats and Medalists of the Russian Academy of Arts”, dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Arts.

Larisa Ushakova participated in regional, republican, international, foreign and academic exhibitions, regional and international open airs.

Personal exhibitions by L. G. Ushakova: 2000 – Valdai; 2005, 2006, 2010 – Rostov-on-Don; 2005 – Volgograd; 2006 – Azov; 2010, 2011 – Moscow; 2013 – Stavropol. S. Parshin Gallery.

From November 2011 to October 2012 she created 30 paintings.

He is the author of scientific works and articles in the field of fine arts. Under the guidance of Larisa Georgievna, 3 candidate theses were defended.

Spouse ─ Sergey Nikolaevich Oleshnya is a sculptor.
