Metropolitan Varnava Stavrovouniotis (January 10, 1958, Limassol) – Bishop of the Cyprus Orthodox Church, Metropolitan of Trimifunt and Proedr of Levkara.

Biography
In 1980 he graduated from the theological faculty of the University of Aristotle in Thessaloniki.

In 1981 he was enrolled in the brotherhood of the Stavrovouni monastery.

In 1983 he accepted the Great Schema and in the same year was ordained deacon. Presbyteral ordination took place in 1985.

In January 1999 he was one of the candidates for the post of Metropolitan of Limassol.

On February 12, 2007, by the decision of the Holy Synod, an independent Timifunt Metropolia was established.

On July 20, 2007, Hieromonk Barnabas was elected Metropolitan of Trimifunt.

His episcopal consecration with the elevation to the rank of metropolitan took place the next day in the Church of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Mother of God in Palluriotisse. On the same day, his enthronement took place in the Church of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Mother of God in Idalion.

In May 2010, he was one of five bishops of the Cyprus Orthodox Church who refused to meet Pope Benedict XVI during his visit to Cyprus.
