Vassilis Kapsambelis is a Greek psychiatrist and psychoanalyst.

Biography
Born in Cyprus, he completed his secondary and medical studies in Athens, where he became a doctor in 1980. He studied psychiatry at the University of Paris V and then practised in France where he was a psychiatrist hospital practitioner at the Amiens-Picardie University Hospital Centre (1994). He turned to psychoanalysis, and became a member of the Psychoanalytic Society of Paris. He leads the Association de santé mentale du arrondissement de Paris (ASM13). He publishes numerous books, articles and participates in conferences.

He is one of the psychoanalyst psychiatrists who reflect on the issue of psychotropic medication, among other things from the point of view of the physician-patient relationship (transfer - countertransfer) and the issues affecting the psychiatric institution in its intrinsic dynamics.
