Boycho Velichkov

Early Life and Career

Boycho Petrov Velichkov was born on August 13, 1958. He began his junior career with Locomotive (Sofia) and made his debut in the first team at the age of 17 in the 1975/76 season.

Club Career

Velichkov played for Locomotive (Sofia) for 11 seasons, during which he won the Bulgarian championship in the 1977-1978 season. He participated in 22 matches and scored 5 goals that year. In total, he played 271 matches and achieved 90 hits for the club.

In addition to his time with Locomotive (Sofia), Velichkov also played for Le Havre in France and Panserraikos in Greece.

International Career

Velichkov made 27 appearances for the Bulgarian national team, scoring four goals. He participated in the 1986 World Cup in Mexico.

Awards and Achievements

In 1978, Velichkov was awarded the title of Master of Sports.
