Vernon George Turner

Vernon George Turner (born September 1926 in Ottawa) is a former Canadian diplomat.

Vernon George Turner entered the Foreign Service in June 1954. He was from 11. August 1954 for 16 months member of the International Commission for Supervision and Control in Vietnam. He was first accredited in Hanoi later in Saigon and finally again in Hanoi. He was subsequently accredited in London, where he married.

In the four and a half years that Vernon George Turner was accredited to the United Nations in New York City, Canada had a seat on the United Nations Security Council from 1967 to 1968. In September 1991, Vernon George Turner was retired.

During his time as ambassador to Moscow, his military attaché Larry Bowen was expelled.
