Vesel Demaku (born August 1, 1980 in Altenmarkt an der Triesting, Austria) is an Austrian footballer and midfielder.

Biography

Austria Vienna
Born in Altenmarkt an der Triesting in Austria, Vesel Demaku was formed by the Vienna Rapid, before joining the Red Bull Salzburg training centre in 2014. On September 10, he arrived at Austria Vienna, where he signed his first professional contract at the age of 17. He took part in his first team match on the , entering the game in an Austrian first division match against SKN Sankt Pölten. The Austria wins four goals on that day.

Demaku played his first European Cup match on the occasion of a qualifying match for the Europa League against Apollo Limassol, on the 3-1 defeat of Austria.

Touched to the shoulder in October 2020, its absence is estimated between four and six months.

SK Sturm Graz
In July 2022, Vesel Demaku joined SK Sturm Graz. The transfer was announced on 12 April 2022, the player being at the end of the contract with Austria Vienna in June, so he freely signed with his new club, for a contract running until June 2026.

Austria Klagenfurt
In , Vesel Demaku joined Austria Klagenfurt as a loan until the end of the season. The transfer is announced as from .

National team
Vesel Demaku is selected with the various teams of young people from Austria. With the under-18s he scored a double against Cyprus on 13 February 2018 (2-2 final score).

On two occasions, he acted as captain of the under-20 selection against Norway and Switzerland.

On , Vesel Demaku played his first game with Austria's hopeful team, against Andorra. He entered the game, and his team won three goals on one.

Personal life
Vesel Demaku was born in Austria, but comes from Kosovo and Albania. He is a fan of Real Madrid, and was compared to Brazilian David Luiz during his youth.
