Vicky Leandros (born Vassiliki Papathanasiou) is a Greek singer who won Eurovision 1972 for Luxembourg.

She has distinguished herself in the music of varieties of French, German, English, Dutch or Japanese expression. Vicky Leandros is a very popular artist in German-speaking countries, as in Greece or Cyprus.

Biography

Vicky is the daughter of the painter Kyriaki Protopapa and the singer, author, composer, Greek producer Leandros Papathanassiou better known as Leo Leandros (alias Mario Panas). In 1958, 9-year-old Vicky joined his parents in Hamburg, where his father was very successful until he was number 1 in Germany in 1960 with Mustafa.
