Víctor Espasandín Facal
Early Life and Club Career
Víctor Manuel Espasandín Facal, known as Espasandín, is a Spanish footballer born on 16 March 1985 in Santa Comba, La Coruña. He began his football formation at SD Compostela, before joining the lower categories of Real Valladolid.
Professional Career
Espasandín made his professional debut in the 2005–06 season, playing one second division match for SD Ponferradina. However, he only appeared in seven games (out of 42) for the team in the following campaign, as they eventually got relegated.
In July 2007, Espasandín signed for FC Barcelona B, helping the team return to the third level in his debut season under young manager Pep Guardiola. He was then transferred to FC Barcelona's second team, Barcelona Atlètic, where he achieved promotion to Second Division B.
Later Career
On February 9, 2008, Espasandín was first convened by the first FC Barcelona team by Frank Rijkaard for a First Division League meeting against an unspecified opponent. However, it is unclear if he played in this match.
In early June 2010, after helping Barça B return to division two after 11 years, Espasandín signed a contract with AC Omonia from Cyprus, joining the club alongside former Barcelona teammate José Manuel Rueda.
