Victor Tadeusz Sikora (* 11) April 1978 in Deventer is a former Dutch footballer of Polish descent who was used both as an offensive midfielder and as a winger.

Club career

First years at the Go Ahead Eagles
Born in Deventer in the province of Overijssel, Sikora began his active career as a football player at his home club, the sub-class playing Roda Deventer, from whom he moved to the Go Ahead Eagles at an early age. At the club, which also has its seat in Deventer, he was active in the various youth teams until 1995 and already made the leap in the 1994/95 season into the professional team, which had its game operation at that time already in the Eredivisie, the highest football league in the country. During the same season, the 16-year-old made his professional debut on the 15th. February 1995 in the 1:2 away defeat against the RKC Waalwijk in the 69th minute of the game for Gijs Steinmann was replaced. After a mixed season, in which the professional team of the club only came to the penultimate place in the standings, the team could only secure the further stay in the first class by winning the promotion or relegation playoff at the end of the season.

After the managed class retention, Sikora came in the season 1995/96 already more often for the professional team and brought it until the end of the season to a total of 14 league appearances, in which he also scored his first profile league goal. As in the previous season, the team could not convince 1995/96 and was at the end of the season with 22 points and 34 games on the last place in the table and had to take the descent into the Dutch second class. There, however, the trained player advanced to a regular player and brought it up to the end of the season 1996/97 even 32 championship appearances, in which he came eight times to goal success. He was next to Erik Tammer (23 goals) the second most successful goal scorer of his team. Although they participated in the playoffs afterwards, the planned climb could not take place due to the lower goal difference of the Go Ahead Eagles and the team had to remain in the First Divisie.

Also in the following season 1997/98 should not change much. After 34 games, the team reached only one place in the midfield of the table and had to be content to remain in the second highest Dutch football league. Sikora was used in 31 games and acted alongside players such as Erik Tammer (17 goals) and Jan Michels (12 goals) with twelve goals as one of the team's scorers.
