Victoria Hislop
Early Life
Victoria Hislop was born on 8 June 1959 in Bromley, Kent, England. She grew up in Tonbridge, Kent County, where she attended school. Her educational background includes studying English at St Hilda's College, University of Oxford.
Career
After completing her studies, Hislop worked as a journalist and editor before pursuing a career in writing. In 1988, she married Ian Hislop, the editor of Private Eye magazine, with whom she has two children. Recognition
