Viktor Zubarev

Early Life and Death

Viktor Yegorovich Zubarev was born on April 10, 1973, in Aktau, Kazakhstan. He died on October 18, 2004, in Omsk, Russia.

Career

Zubarev began his career in football from basketball. He started playing for the Kazakh club Batyr in 1993 and played there until 1996. In 1997, he moved to Pavlodar Irtysh, where he became a four-time champion of Kazakhstan and won the country's Cup.

In addition to his time with Irtysh, Zubarev also played for other clubs, including Arsenal (Tula) and Lokomotiv (Nizhny Novgorod) in Russia, and Apollon Limassol in Cyprus. During his time at Apollon Limassol, he won the Cup of Cyprus.

International Career

Zubarev was a member of the Kazakhstan national team. He was recognized as the footballer of the year in Kazakhstan by the magazine "GOAL" in 1999.
