"Virgin Mary Chrysaliniotissa"

--- CONTENT ---
Panagia Chrysalinotissa is an Orthodox church and is located in Chrysalinotissa district, within the walls of Nicosia in Cyprus.

It is the only church in the Middle Byzantine period (965-1191 AD) saved in Nicosia. During the course of time she received many surgeries until she took her present form. The icon "Panagia of Chrysaliniotissa" (Golden + Linari) or Aliniotissa, which Helen Paleololina (1428-1458) allegedly carried from Constantinople, is preserved there. Also, there is the twin portable image "Panagia Love or Uniting and Our Lady Misitive or Separative", in which the Virgin is depicted looking in two directions.
