"Volleyball at the Games of Small States of Europe 2017"

Volleyball competitions at the XVII Games of Small States of Europe were held from May 30 to June 3, 2017 in two cities of San Marino (Serravalle and San Marino) with the participation of 5 men's and 6 women's national teams. 2 sets of awards were awarded. Champion titles won: men – the national team of Luxembourg, women – the national team of Cyprus.

The system of the tournament
5 teams participating in the tournament for men and 6 for women held one-round tournaments, according to the results of which the final placement of places was determined. The primary criterion for the distribution of seats is the number of victories, then points scored, the ratio of games, the ratio of game points, the results of personal meetings.

For victories with a score of 3:0 and 3:1, the teams received 3 points, for a victory of 3:2 - 2, for a defeat of 2:3 - 1 point, for defeats of 0:3 and 1:3 points were not accrued.

Playing arenas
The men's volleyball tournament of the Games was held in the indoor sports arena "Palestra Alessandro Casadei", located in Serravalla. The arena was built in 1970. The capacity of the stands is 250 spectators.

The women's tournament of the Games was held in the indoor sports arena "Palestra Umberto Briganti", located in the city of San Marino. The arena was built in 1990. The capacity of the stands is 150 spectators.
