Waji Khan Mosque

Waji Khan Mosque (Sunabi/Durdu: Musjid Wazr Khān) is a Mughal-era mosque in Lahore, Pakistan. The mosque started in 1634 under Emperor Shahhan's regime and ended in 1644.

Location
The Waji Khan mosque is located in the southern part of Shahi Guzarga road in Lahore. The Mughal elites traveled to Lahore Tower. The mosque is located 260 meters west of the Delhi Gate. Waji Khan is also in front of the mosque.

Background

The head physician in Mughil nearby ordered the construction of Ilamuddin Ansari mosque. He was known as Waji Khan. Waji Khan was later appointed to the Punjab. He built other buildings in Lahore.

The inside of the mosque is a mixture of Mughal and local Punjabi construction. The outside of the mosque was decorated with Persian style scaffold.

Waji Khan mosque became part of a massive complex. The complex is usually allocated stores for missionaries and book makers. The city square was in front of the main mosque gate. The mosque-wide money was set up as a walkoff for the mosque.

History

The building started in 1634 or 1635 under Emperor Shahhan's regime and continued to work for seven years. At the end of the 1880s, the father of Rudd Edward Kipiliang, John Lockwood Kipling, wrote about the construction of the former journal of Indian ART mosque. British scholar Fred Henry Andrews wrote about the collapse of the mosque in 1903.

Monuments
The mosque is built on a high foundation. The main part is Waji Khan's game. The outside of the mosque is praytina. The long part is parallel to Shahi Guzarga. The mosque is built by mud with the knokut.

Mix

The Waji Khan mosque is known for its use of various types of style. Despite the use of coughing style in other buildings built in Lahore during Shahhan's era, Waji Khan has not been used anywhere else.

Tyle's work.
The Persian style, known as Kashi-Kkari, is in the vicinity of the mosque. The inner yard is equipped with rich matfes. It can be observed by 17th century Persians.
