"Dozor-B" - Ukrainian military armored car of light class with wheel formula. It can be used to equip special units of the armed forces and police. The developer of the armored vehicle is the KP KhKBM named after A. A. Morozov, the manufacturer is KhZTM and LBTZ.
History
The first demonstration of the armored vehicle "Dozor-B" was first presented at the arms exhibition "-2004" (27-30 October 2004).
The development of the armored vehicle was completed in the summer of 2006, in 2011 the license for the production of armored vehicles through the intermediary company was bought by the Polish company Mista (but the preparation of the production line for the production of Dozor-B in Poland was completed only in 2013).
On May 31, 2014, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs A. B. Avakov announced the possibility of purchasing Dozor armored vehicles for the National Guard of Ukraine, and the next day he said that Dozor-B would be sent for testing. On June 4, 2014, the second Dozor-B was presented at the National Guard training ground near Chuguev, Kharkiv region. On June 6, 2014, Acting President of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov announced that 200 Dozor-B armored vehicles would enter service with the Ukrainian army.
In July 2014, it was announced that the assembly and production of Dozor-B is planned to begin at the Lviv Armored Plant.
As of September 2014, the production of hulls for several armored vehicles was started, but the troops did not receive new armored vehicles - the start of their serial production was postponed for several months due to the lack of engines. On December 5, 2014, Yuri Pashchenko, Deputy General Director of Ukroboronprom Group of Companies for Production, announced that serial production of Dozor-B will begin in March 2015 at the Lviv Armored Plant.
On January 30, 2015, President of Ukraine P.A. Poroshenko was presented with an updated pre-production model of the Dozor-B armored car.
Weight "Dozor-B" in the standard version (openly mounted machine gun NSVT, without additional equipment) is 6.3 tons.
On February 2, 2015, Ukroboronprom announced that it was planned to produce 50 Dozor-B armored vehicles during 2015. On the same day, the servicemen of the Ukrainian army were presented with the first serial model of the Dozor-B armored vehicle (equipped with the BPU-12.7 combat module). It is reported that the total mass of the serial "Dozor-B" (with a combat module installed) is 8450 kg.
On February 4, 2015, the General Director of Ukroboronprom Group R.A. Romanov confirmed that it is planned to produce 50 Dozor-B armored vehicles during 2015 and promised that in 2016 their production will reach the level of at least 100 units.
On April 3, 2015, it was announced the beginning of work on the serial production of Dozor-B armored vehicles at the Lviv Armored Plant, while the armored hulls of vehicles manufactured by LBTZ were decided to be made of imported steel sheets of Polish production.
