Early Life and Career
Wellington Carlos da Silva was born on 5 October 1987 in Ribeirão Preto, Brazil.
Career
He played for various clubs throughout his career. In his country, he played for Sertãozinho before moving abroad to play in the top series of the Romanian, Cypriot, and Portuguese championships. He played for Concordia from June 2012 to April 2015, during which time he was a victim of racial abuse during a match against Rapid București in September 2014. A banana was thrown at him, but the fan who threw it later apologized, and Wellington reportedly accepted the apology.
In April 2015, Wellington demanded an early termination of his contract with Concordia due to an injury, which he officially terminated on 29 April 2015 after spending three seasons with the club during which he scored 19 goals. He then moved to Pandurii in June 2015, signing a one-year deal.
