Wilfrid Kaptoum

Biography

Wilfrid Jaures Kaptoum (born 7 July 1996) is a Cameroonian footballer who plays as a central player for AEK Larnaca of the First Division of Cyprus.

### Early Career and Formation

Kaptoum started playing soccer at Samuel Eto'o's foundation, which led to his passage to the EU Sant Andreu. He later joined FC Barcelona's lower categories in 2008, at the age of 12. Initially, he played with the Catalan championship and Brunete tournament teams associated with Barça.

### Career Progression

Kaptoum continued to ascend through the ranks of the azulgrana set. In June 2014, he was promoted to FC Barcelona "B". He made his professional debut on August 23, 2014, in a second-division match against C.A. Osasuna.

### Professional Career

In the 2015-16 season, Kaptoum debuted for FC Barcelona in the Champions League group stage against Bayer Leverkusen. However, he played only three games with Barça B that season.

Kaptoum has also made appearances for AEK Larnaca, where he plays as a central player. His playing career is marked by his early formation at FC Barcelona and subsequent progression through the ranks of various teams.
