The first category of women's football 2019-20 was the 43rd edition of Cyprus's first class football under the auspices of the Cyprus Football Federation. The league was discontinued due to the COVID-19 Pandemic in Cyprus.

Operating system
In the 2019–20 first-class championship 8 teams participated. It was held in two phases. In the first phase, all teams competed between them twice, once inside and one away. After the completion of the 14 racers (I phase) the teams were divided into 2 groups, depending on their position, giving ranking matches (II phase). The results, points, sets and points of Phase I were transferred to the rankings.

Teams in seats 1–4 competed for winning the league and the positions leading to the European championships. The teams would fight each other twice, once inside and once away. The team that would finish in first place would be declared champion and promoted to First Division 2020-21. Teams in positions 5-8 would compete between them twice, once inside and one away. Although the matches were not completed, mathematically the last team had been judged and graded in the second class 2020-21.

Score system
The racing scoring system was as follows:
In a win with and set the winner got 3 points and the loser none.
In victory with the winner set he received 2 points and the defeated 1 point.

Classification criteria
The teams were ranked based on the total number of points they won. In case of a tie in the total number of points won by two or more teams the ranking criteria were:
Higher ranked the team with the highest number of points.
In the event of a tie the teams were ranked in descending order depending on the total number of wins each team with the team that had most wins leading.
If the teams had the same number of wins they were ranked according to the difference between the winning and lost sets of each group as a whole, with the group that had the biggest difference leading.
If the tie continued the teams were ranked according to the fraction resulting from the division of the winnings with each team's lost sets in their entirety, with the group having the largest fraction leading.
