"Women's National Track Championship 1980"

The 45th National Women's Track Championship 1980 was held from 26 to 28 September at the "Makario" Stadium, Nicosia, Cyprus, along with the corresponding National Men's Track Championship 1980. There was limited participation of athletes from Greece for economic reasons, since the championship was held in Cyprus. However, there was a large Cypriot presence, which was also evident in the results, where Cypriot clubs dominated. The pentathlon championship took place in Kavala, on April 12–13, along with the equivalent of young women and the decathlon of men-adolescents. G.S. Pancypria Nicosia was the club champion for the second consecutive year, 11 b. apart from the second PAOK.
