The first category of women's football in Cyprus 2020-21 was the 44th edition of the first category of football in Cyprus under the auspices of the Cyprus Football Federation. The championship was won by AEL for the 29th time in her history.

Operating system
The first-class championship 2020-21 was attended by 7 teams. It was held in two phases. In the first phase, all teams competed between them twice, once inside and one away. After the completion of the 14 racers (I phase) the teams were divided into 2 groups, depending on their position, giving ranking matches (II phase). The results, points, sets and points of Phase I were transferred to the rankings.

Teams in seats 1–4 competed for winning the league and the positions leading to the European championships. The teams fought each other twice, once inside and once away. The champion was declared the team that gathered most points.

Teams in positions 5–7 competed between them twice, once inside and one away. The last team participated in barrage matches with the second team of the 2020–21 league. The winner continued in the First Division 2021–22 and the defeated in the Second Division 2021–22.

Score system
The racing scoring system was as follows:
In a 3–0 win and 3–1 set the winner received 3 points and the loser none.
In a 3–2 win the winner set received 2 points and the defeated 1 point.

Classification criteria
The teams were ranked based on the total number of points they won. In case of a tie in the total number of points won by two or more teams the ranking criteria were:
Higher ranked the team with the highest number of points.
In the event of a tie the teams were ranked in descending order depending on the total number of wins each team with the team that had most wins leading.
If the teams had the same number of wins they were ranked according to the difference between the winning and lost sets of each group as a whole, with the group that had the biggest difference leading.
If the tie continued the teams were ranked according to the fraction resulting from the division of the winnings with each team's lost sets in their entirety, with the group having the largest fraction leading.
Where the tie continued the teams were ranked according to the difference between the winning and losing points of each group as a whole, with the group having the biggest difference leading up.
In case the tie continued the teams were ranked according to the fraction resulting from the division of the winnings with each team's lost points in total, with the team having the largest fraction leading.
