"Women's National Track Championship 1984"

The 49th Panhellenic Women's Athletics Championship 1984 was held at the Thessaloniki Caucasian Stadium, from 31 May to 3 June, along with the corresponding 1984 men's national track championship. There was a large participation but for the first time in many decades the Cypriot clubs were not rated, resulting in the level of performance falling much. Those Cypriots who took part were out of competition. The marathon championship was held on 24 March in Ioannina at the same time as the men's marathon championship and in it winner Georgia Papanastasiou made a new nationwide record running for the first time under 2 hours. The seven-athlon championship was held during the four-day race. Their results were calculated on the score.

A club champion was named the Panhellenic G.S. with a very large difference from the other clubs, for the first time after 32 years, since the previous time he had won the title in women he was in the women's Panhellenic athletics championship 1952.
