Xenia Constantinos (Larnaka, 25 February 1979) is a Greek Cypriot politician. He was a Member of Parliament in the Lefkosia Electoral District elected with the Democratic Alarm.
Biographical data
Xenia Constantine was born in Larnaca on 25 February 1979. Since 1996 he resides in Nicosia. He speaks beyond Greek, English and French.
He studied political and social sciences at the University of Cyprus (1996–2000). He continued with graduate studies in international relations at the University of Essex. From 2005 to 2019 he worked at the University of Cyprus Research Service responsible for European financial programmes.
She's married and has a daughter.
Path Policy
In 2004-2007 he served as general secretary of the Organization of Young Scientists (ONE) of DISY. In 2005-2009 he was vice president of the Cyprus Youth Council (proposed by NEDISY). From 2007 to 2011 he was a member of the political office of NEDISY. In 2009-2010 he served as Vice-President of the European Youth Forum, proposed by the Youth of the European People's Party. From 2014 to 2017 he was president of the Women's Organization of DISY (GADESY) and member of the Executive Office of the party. Since 2012 he has been a member of the political office of DISY.
He participated in the 2011 parliamentary elections in the Lefkosia Electoral District with DISY but was not elected. Subsequently, he participated in the 2016 parliamentary election in the Lefkosia Electoral District with DISY but was not elected. However, due to the resignation of DISY MP in the Lefkosia Electoral District, Solon Kasini, Xenia Konstantinos took his place in parliament on 6 December 2019 as the next runner-up for the XI Parliamentary Period.
As a Member of Parliament, he was a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights and Equal Opportunities between Men and Women, the Parliamentary Committee on the Interior and the Parliamentary Committee on Institutions, Values and Commissioner of Administration.
He claimed re-election in the 2021 parliamentary election but was not re-elected.
