Yahya Dai (d. 1963, Ankara), Turkish jazz musician.

Life and career Home
Yahya Dai was born in 1963 in Ankara. In 1974, the soprano block began to play flute and went to saxoafona in 1981. Music life continued in 1981 with alto saxophone and tenor saxophone, soprano saxsofon, bariton saxsofon, side flute and EWI (electric breath instrument). A long term in Ankara worked with Tuna Ötenel. He entered Caz Music Department at Bilkent University and worked with Tomasz Szukalski. In 1990, Ercüment Orkut (piyano), Erdal Akyol (bas) and Ediz Hafizoğlu (davul) founded "Yah Dai Quartet". The group took stage not only in Turkey, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Hungary, Greece, Cyprus, Spain and USA. Dai served as saxofoncu in Ankara Municipality City Şehir between 1991-1992. In 1994, the "Hafif Music Concert" and "Ankara Pop Group" were held in Ankara State Opera and Bale. The same year also joined the Presidential Senfoni konser concert as a guest artist. In 1999 Babylon (Istanbul) and "A-Train" took stage at Jazz Club (Berlin). He took stage in the World Music Festival with Alper Yılmaz in 2000. The next year Cahit Berkay joined the "Film Music" project. In 2000s, London Jazz Festival took place in many jazz and music festivals such as Prague Open Jazz Festival. In 2011 he recorded the album called Ümitvar Blue.
