Early Life and Education
Yanina Weiland was born on 11 May 1994 in Munich, Germany.
Career
Weiland began playing volleyball at the age of ten with PSV Munich in 2004. In the 2007-08 season, she switched to SV Lohhof, where she achieved third place with the D-Jugend (U16) team at the German Championships in Lohhof.
Her greatest successes in youth came during the 2008-09 season, when she won both the U16 German championship in the hall at Dieburg and the Bundescup of the U17 in beach volleyball with her partner Sandra Ittlinger. Additionally, she was selected for the national team's U16 squad.
The following year, as captain of SVL, Weiland led her team to a second-place finish at the German Vice Championship of the U18.
In the 2009-10 season, Weiland played alongside Lisa Keferloher in the second division team of SVL. Her first appearance in the starting lineup was during the home game debut of the season against Roten Raben Vilsbiburg II.
Beach Volleyball
Weiland is also a skilled beach volleyball player, having won several tournaments with her partner Sandra Ittlinger, including the Bundescup of the U17.
