Yasmin Faridon
Yasmin Freidoun is a Bahraini air commander. She is the first Bahraini woman to hold the rank of captain under the commercial aircraft leadership system.
Biography
In 2004, she graduated from the University of Bahrain with a Bachelor's degree in Business Technology Management. Then she worked at one of the local banks.
Freidoun joined Gulf Air as a trainee pilot in 2008. She then studied and graduated from Qatar Aviation College in Doha, the capital of Qatar. She immediately began studying and undergoing training on the aircraft she would command, which took 45 months to complete during which time she trained on Airbus A320 aircraft. She completed her first flight after completing her studies, which was a training flight between Larnaca, the Cypriot capital, and Bahrain.
In 2014, she successfully completed the required flying hours, making her the first Bahraini woman to hold the rank of captain.

Honors
On December 5, 2019, the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities held an exhibition entitled: (All that is hers: When the image reflects what means the success of the Bahraini woman) on the occasion of Bahrain Women's Day at the Arts Center, where the exhibition presented photographic images of a number of Bahraini personalities, including Freidoun.
On February 20, 2021, YouTube channel broadcasted a flight of Gulf Air from Bahrain to Frankfurt and Paris commanded by Freidoun with her Bahraini assistant Fatima Ibrahim. The Bahrain Human Rights Society expressed its pride in the achievements of Bahraini women in all fields.
