1200-1190 : Invasion of the Peoples of the Sea. The Hittite king Supiluliuma II fought on the sea and landed in Alashiya with his allies of Ugarit and Loveru to repel the first assaults of the Lukka, Shardanes, Shikala, Tursha, Ekwesh, Philistines and others. In vain. The Mouchki, allied with the Gasga, take advantage of the confusion to destroy the Hittite empire and create the kingdom of Phrygia, repelling the Louvites beyond the Taurus. An inscription from Ramses III temple in Medina Habou mentions the destruction of Hatti, Kode (Kizzuwatna Hittite, Cilicia), Karkemish, Yeret (Arzawa) and Yeres (Alashiya, N.O. of Inner Anatolia and Cyprus). The people of the sea establish a camp in Amourrou from which invaders ravage neighbouring countries. Hattusa, the capital, like many other cities, is burned. It appears that the city was abandoned by its inhabitants before its destruction. These areas appear to be attacked at the same time by land and sea from 1220 to 1186. The outer provinces of the Hittite Empire revolted, taking advantage of the lack of central power. The brutal silence of the Hittite sources under Supiluliuma II prevents us from knowing what really happened and how the empire collapsed: we attribute less to the peoples of the sea themselves than to a secondary consequence of their action.
1198-1166: reign of Pharaoh Ramses III, which lasts 31 years. He's marrying Isis. The external situation, as it takes power, is very worrying: the peoples of the sea have organized themselves in Libya and are infiltrating the Delta. The Hatti, submerged, will soon disappear. The invaders advance south, in Cilicia, in Naharina, in Amourrou. Phoenician ports, like Ougarit, are destroyed. Cyprus and Canaan are invaded by the Indo-Europeans, who threaten Egypt. Last of the great Pharaohs, he continued the monumental work of Ramses II by having the temple of Medina-Habou and that of Khonsou built in Thebes. Hori retained his office of vizir in Upper Egypt until the year 10, and was replaced by Ta L ́an 12 or 16 of the reign; Hori I and Hori II, Viceroys of Nubia; Amenmosis, construction manager.
1197/1193: Before the 5th year of his reign, Ramses III reportedly made a rapid campaign in Nubia to secure his back. He modernized the army to confront the invaders.
Around 1197-1193: reign of Enlil-kuduri-usur, king of Assyria.
Between 1196 and 1179: Ugarit was ruined by the Philistines. A part of the population of the city (some of which may have been Shardana) seems to have fled to Cyprus where they would have participated in the reconstruction of Enkomi and Kition.
1194-1191: reign of Tai Ding, twenty-seventh king of the Shang Dynasty, in China, according to tradition.
1194-1184: Troy War (Eratosthene dating).
1192-1180 : reign of Ninurta-apil-Ekur, r
