Yeva Rivas was born and raised in Rostov over Don, to an Armenian mother and father from Russian, Armenian and Greek ancestry. She has the nickname "Yeva Rivas" taken from her Greek great-grandmother.

Eurovision
Yeva Rivas represented in the 2010 Song Contest in Oslo the birthplace of Armenia, and took 7th place in the final.

Rivas has visited many countries, such as: Greece, the Netherlands, Cyprus, Belgium, Armenia (the country it represents), Russia (there resides permanently), France, Romania, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Germany, Croatia, Israel, Serbia and Georgia.
