Yevgeni Ivanov (Footballer)

Yevgeni Yurievich Ivanov, commonly known as Yevgeni Ivanov, is a Russian former professional football player born on August 24, 1979. He played as a midfielder and defender throughout his career.

Ivanov began playing football at the SDYUSHORE Smena (Kaluga) with coaches Maxim Mkoyan and A. E. Pavlov before joining Samara “Wings of the Soviets” in the summer of 1999, alongside Sergei Mitin. He made his debut for the Major League on August 4, 1999, scoring a goal against Nizhny Novgorod Lokomotiv (3:0). By mid-2000, Ivanov became less likely to enter the main lineup and was subsequently leased to Cyprus-based club Apollo in August of that year.

During his time with Samara, he played 23 matches and scored four goals. After Apollo, Ivanov went on to play for various clubs in the First and Second Divisions of the Russian championship. In 2008, he joined the LFL's MIC club, where they won the Black Earth zone title in 2009. Since then, Ivanov has played under different names, including FC Kaluga, which competes in the second division.

In addition to his playing career, Ivanov also served as a coach for team "Kaluga-2" since 2012, assisting Igor Elkind. Throughout his career, he represented several clubs and teams, including PFC Krylia Sovetov Samara, FC Apollo Limassol, FC Lokomotiv Kaluga, and others.

Ivanov's playing statistics include 243 matches played and 32 goals scored for various clubs throughout his career.
