Early Life and Career

Giannis Dimitris (born 12 April 1954) is a Greek singer, composer, and songwriter.

Eurovision Song Contest Participation

Dimitris represented Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest 1981, performing seventeenth on the night, before Cyprus and after Belgium. He sang the song "Feggari Kalokerino" (also known as "Moon Summer") and placed eighth out of twenty countries with fifty-five points.

Other Works

In addition to his singing career, Dimitris was a member of the Greek jury in the 1996 Eurovision Song Contest. He is also credited as the composer and songwriter of the song "Athens Afrikana fillings Zulu" (1988), which was sung by Panos Michalopoulos for the film "Palikari in the desks" (1988).
