Yiánnis Tomarás was a Panathinaikos player between 1968 and 1974.

With the Panathinaikos, he was Champion of Greece three times, he also won a Greek Cup.

Yiánnis Tomarás competed in the final of the Champions Club Cup in 1971. Panathinaikos lost the final to Ajax Amsterdam on the score of 0-2.
