Yolande Louise of Savoy was born on July 11, 1487, in Turin, to Charles I of Savoy, nicknamed the Warrior, and Bianca of Montferrat. She was the daughter of a prominent noble family and a granddaughter of Philibert's uncle, Duke Amedeo IX of Savoy.
Marriage and Titles
Yolande married Philibert II, Duke of Savoy, and became his Duchess consort. Through her marriage, she held the titles of Duchess of Savoy and Princess of Piedmont.
Biography
She was baptized in the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist on July 29, 1487, with Ludovico Sforza as one of her godparents. Yolande's brother, Charles John Amadeus II, was born in 1488 and would later become Duke of Savoy.
Death
Yolande Louise of Savoy died on September 12, 1499, in Geneva, at the age of 12.
