Yordan Petkov

Yordan Christov Petkov is a former Bulgarian professional footballer, born on March 11, 1976, in Veliko Turnovo, Bulgaria. He played as a central defender.

Career

Petkov began his career playing for various club teams, including Samson Sport and Slavia Sofia. In 2001, he joined Slavia Sofia, where he spent most of his career, becoming a dominant team defense player. During his time at Slavia Sofia, he made numerous appearances in official matches.

In 2011, Petkov moved to Ermis Aradippou, but later returned to Bulgaria and finished his professional gaming career at the Ermee Club in July 2011.

National Team

Petkov has 4 appearances with the Bulgarian National Team. He was also a member of the junior team of Bulgaria.

Personal Life

Petkov is 181 cm tall and weighs 78 kg. After retiring as a player, he became an assistant coach at Slavia Sofia under Martin Kushev.
