Rabbi Yosef Zvi Rimon: A Prominent Figure in Israeli Religious Zionism

Rav Yosef Zvi Rimon (Hebrew:, born 18 January 1968) is an Israeli Religious Zionist rabbi, author, lecturer, and Posek who serves as the Rabbi of Gush Etzion Regional Council and the Ashkenazi Synagogue of Alon Shvut Darom. He is also the Rosh Yeshiva of the Jerusalem College of Technology (Machon Lev) and a Rosh Kollel at Yeshivat Har Etzion.

Rimon's academic background includes studying at the Moriya School in Tel Aviv, followed by attending a clear route meeting in Jerusalem, and later moving to Mount Etzion. He graduated from Herzog College for Teacher Training with a B.Ed degree. In addition to his teaching roles, Rimon has also served as a chairperson of various organizations and has given lessons to all students at Yeshivat Har Etzion on different topics.

Rimon is the founder of the "Sulamot" association (formerly known as the "Halacha and Education Center"), which focuses on three main areas: Judaism, education, and experience. The organization aims to promote Jewish content in pedagogical aspects, such as writing halakhic texts and creating learning materials for educational systems. In experiential aspects, Sulamot develops innovative learning systems, secondary learning experiences, and strengthens connections with Jewish communities worldwide.

Rimon has also been involved in various initiatives aimed at supporting evacuees left without homes and jobs following Israel's disengagement from Gaza. He founded the LaOfek association (also known as Taasoktif and JobKatif), which provides rehabilitation services to these individuals. The organization was awarded the Ot Hanasi Lamitnadev (President's Volunteer Award) in 2008.

As a popular lecturer, Rimon travels extensively throughout Israel, North America, the UK, and Australia, sharing his expertise on halakha topics such as Shmita. His written works, including "Halacha MiMekorah - Tzava," a Halachic work for soldiers fighting in a Jewish army, have been widely acclaimed.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Rimon has also hosted the children and youth television series "Ratzim LaMishnah" on a regular basis. He continues to serve as the Rabbi of Gush Etzion Regional Council
