Joseph Harel (January 4, 1918 - 26 April 2008) was a ship commander, including the ship "Exodus". From the beginning of the Israeli intelligence community.
biography
First his way.
Born in 1918 as Joseph a hamburger to Moshe Mordechai and her daughter is a hamburger in Jerusalem. There was a Friday for his family in Israel. Command on the “Israeli Knesset”
The first ship commanded by Harel (with Benjamin Jerusalem) was the “Israeli Knesset”, which was released in November 1946 from cattle in Yugoslavia, with a total of 3,400 elephants. The passage of the Axidos Journey was immortalized in many Hebrew memoirs. Thanks to the book "Exodus" of the Jewish-American writer Leon Yusssss, who saw light in 1953 and became a film film called Axodos in 1960, the ship became a global historical value. In the film (which is most loosely based on the story of the true Axodos), he was the son of the figure of Harel, as the ship commander, actor Paul Newman.
