Younes Benjelloun

Younes Belhanda, born January 3, 1983, in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, is a French-Moroccan international football player of Senegalese origin. He plays as a central defender or defensive midfielder.

Born to parents from Morocco and France, Benjelloun's mixed heritage has led him to represent both countries at various levels. His career began in France, where he played for several clubs including Paris Saint-Germain B, Amiens, Neuchâtel Xamax, Alavés, Raon-l'Étape, Istres, Panserraikos, Olympiakos Nicosia, Lokomotiv Plovdiv, CSKA Sofia, and Mulhouse.

In 2009, Benjelloun trialled with Scottish club Hibernian. Two years later, he was drafted by Goa to play in the Indian Super League on August 21, 2014. Following his stint in India, he returned to Europe, playing for clubs in Switzerland, Spain, Greece, Cyprus, and Bulgaria.

Benjelloun's experience extends beyond football, as he has also worked as a scout at Manchester City since July 2017.
